This Privacy Statement highlights how Limestone® collects, uses, and discloses your personal information provided to us through various interactions with Limestone®, including your purchases, warranty registration, requests for brochures, product registration cards, as well as your voluntary engagement with promotions, surveys, or call centers. “Personal information” may include your name, age, mailing address, residential phone number, or e-mail address. It may also include income ranges, marital status, product or lifestyle preferences, and information concerning dealer services.
How we collect personal information
Our authorized dealers provide Limestone® with personal information collected at the time of your boat order/purchase with other product registration data and may continue to provide warranty and servicing information on your boat. We may send you customer satisfaction surveys which you may elect to return to provide us with information on your boat purchase and your servicing needs. Limestone®, your dealer, and our marketing agency collect personal information when you request information about our companies and from surveys, promotions, contests, correspondence, your emails, telephone inquiries, web forms, and other communications.
How we share your personal information
Your personal information may be gathered by or shared with Limestone®’s service providers (including its marketing and data hosting providers) and affiliated companies, who implement comparable levels of privacy protection, for the purposes described in this statement. As a result, your personal information may, subject to applicable laws, be collected, used, processed, stored or disclosed in the United States and Canada. Accordingly, your personal information may potentially be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities in the United States and Canada.
In addition, your personal information may be disclosed or transferred to another party during the course of the grant of a security interest in Limestone® assets, or completion of, all or a part of Limestone® through, for example, an asset or share sale, provided that such party is bound by appropriate agreements or obligations and required to use or disclose your personal information in a manner consistent with the use and disclosure provisions of this Privacy Notice, unless you consent otherwise.
How we use and disclose personal information
Unless you advise us otherwise, Limestone®, our authorized dealers, affiliated companies, and our marketing providers may generally collect, use, disclose, hold, and file your personal information for the following purposes: (1) providing goods, brochures, information, incentives, and/or services to you or on your behalf; (2) fulfilling the terms of our limited warranty or other service obligation; (3) facilitating recalls or service campaigns if necessary; (4) reviewing goods and/or services provided to you in product, services, and marketing analyses; (5) ensuring your satisfaction through surveys or other contacts; (6) administration, billing, accounting, and collections; (7) protecting against fraud, illegal activities and error; (8) to improve the products and services that we offer; (9) marketing, research and analysis purposes; (10) communicate with you as may be necessary; and (11) investigating a breach or a contravention of a law, complying with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or as required or otherwise permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also anonymize or otherwise de-identify your personal information for the purposes of: (i) providing technical support in connection with the products and services that we provide to our customers; (ii) improve our products and services; and/or (iii) creating aggregate data.
Please note that we may collect, use or disclose your personal information without your knowledge or consent where we are permitted or required to do so by applicable law or regulatory requirements.
Limestone® will not sell your personal information or subject you to telemarketing.
We endeavour to use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal information from loss or theft, as well as prohibiting unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification of your personal information. We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws or regulation.
Access and correction to your personal information
Subject to the exceptions provided by applicable law, we will provide, upon written request, your specific personal information collected in a form which is generally understandable. Your personal information is generally held by us and for us by our marketing agency, Tinsley Creative Inc., who has contractually agreed to protect your information according to our privacy policies. You can withdraw consent for us to use your personal information at any time or request corrections. Please note that we may require verification in accordance with any applicable law to verify your identity before we make any corrections to your data. Additionally, we may not be able to withdraw consent to the extent it would impede the performance of our legal obligations. We are required by law to provide you with information for product recall and other product safety relates purposes. The withdrawal of your consent may also adversely affect our ability to provide products and services to you and to maintain our relationship. Please note, notifying us will not result in withdrawing consent from your dealer, who should be contacted separately. Obtaining consent: If any supplementary disclosure is required, we will obtain your consent for disclosure to other persons or organizations and for other purposes than stated herein, unless otherwise permitted by law.
Updating Your Personal Information
It is important that the information contained in our records is both accurate and current. If your personal information happens to change during the course of our relationship, please keep us informed of such changes. In some circumstances we may not agree with your request to change your personal information and will instead append an alternative text to the record in question.
